Future Buyers of Bluetooth-enabled products from Taiwan might be
interested to learn that TUeV Rheinland, a German certification
authority, plans to set up a Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility
in Taiwan next year to provide certification services for Bluetooth
technologies and products.
TUeV Rheinland employs over 8,000 persons in 40 nations and provides
certification services to over 100 nations. Its Taiwan branch will
be the sole Bluetooth certification body on the island.
After opening this BQTF in Taiwan, TUeV Rheinland plans to open
similar facilities in Japan, South Korea, Europe and North America.
The organization says its BQTF will provide clients with Bluetooth
technology and qualification services. As a one-stop window for
certification and qualification tests, the facility aims to help
firms to shorten product development time.
On Dec. 7, TueV Rheinland web-posted the results of its certification
services for the Bluetooth baseband products developed by chip designer
Wise Creation Technolog Ltd. Wise Creation is the first Taiwan firm
to develop Bluetooth baseband products.
Wise Creation acquired the U.S.-based Alinks Telecommunications
last year to help it develop wireless telecommunication products.
The company has poised itself as a provider of intellectual property
for total system solutions.
