ASUSTek, which once started as a maker of nondescript motherboards,
won no less than twelve Symbol of Excellence Awards for 2001
from the China External Trade Development Council (CETRA).
The company is now on the global track with a range of own
branded products.
The company received the distinguished recognition for its
servers types AP2400R and AP1400R, a 12x DVD-E612 optical
drive, an AGP-V7100 deluxe video card, an CUV266 motherboard,
a desktop PC X500-PIB, an INET-850 NAT router and an AH100
handheld PC.
ASUSTek's notebook computers in particular have gained much
recognition as its S8 is the only notebook computer to win
CETRA's Golden Quality Award and the National Design Award
as well.
ASUSTek is also using the Internet to reach the company's
customers, asl well as potential customers, ASUS has nine
websites, with the home site available at www.asus.com,
and offers access in English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese,
Japanese, German, French, Italian, Korean and Russian.
