Quanta Computer Inc. announced this week that the company delivered
a historically high 410,000 notebook computers in March, and consequently
recorded a historically high revenue of 13 billion Taiwan Dollars.

Quanta's notebook PC sales amounted to 880,000 units in the first
quarter of 2001, up 42% from the same period a year ago.
Meanwhile, other leading notebook P-c manufacturers in Taiwan such
as Compal, Arima and Inventec all reported that they fared well
in March, compared to February.
For example, Arima is estimated to have delivered 100,000 units
in March, with revenue reaching NT$3 billion for the first time.
