Teco Image Systems Co, a subsidiary of Teco Group, one of Taiwan's
bigger technology conglomerates, confirmed this week that the firm
received huge orders for its scanners from Japan and the USA, with
deliveries to begin this month already.
Teco obtained orders for its A6 size scanners from Hewlett-Packard.
These sales are expected to reach 40,000 units per month, up sharply
from the 10,000 units per month Teco enjoyed only one year ago.
In the past, Teco Image concentrated on manufacturing scanners
with its own brand name only. But this strategy will change since
beginning of this year, as Teco decided to with ot OEM manufacturing.
Teco image recently delivered its super thin A4 scanner to an information
group in Japan.
Most scanners from Teco are high profit margin models. Therefore,
their success in winning orders indicates that the local firms has
met with international quality standards and are recognized as a
competent market player.
Meanwhile, Teco Image became increasingly successful in the manufacture
of office machines. The firm expects to debut several new office
machines in August.
