Acer Sertek Service Group, member of the Acer Group, initiated its personal digital assistant (PDA) affiliate company, PDAhub Inc. on October 17.

The move coincided with the debut of two PDA websites by the new company, InfoGo.com and MyPalm.com. The websites will take on similar services launched by King's International Multimedia Co., Abbeyroad Inc. And Telepaq Technology Inc.

PDAhub also announced the formation of strategic alliances with more than 10 domestic and foreign firms.

PDA hardware makers in Taiwan include the Acer Group, Inventic Group, First International Computer Group, and Leo Computer Systems Inc. Top foreign brands have also made inroads in the domestic market in recent months, such as Palm, Handspring, IBM, and Compaq Computer Corp.
