Accton Technology Corp. and
Systex Corp., two major network concept shares in the local stock
market, enjoyed better after-tax earnings per share performances
than expected in the first half.
During the January-June period,
the firm rang up NT$4.83 billion worth of revenue, up somewhat
from the NT$4.7 billion registered in the same period in 1999.
The firm enjoyed an average profit margin of 15.5% in first half.
Accton's after-tax profit
of NT$330 million translates into EPS of NT$1.14, up 58% from
the NT$0.72 registered in the last year. Kou Fei-lung, vice president
of Accton, said that the firm's revenue will grow considerably
in the second half. Revenue is expected to reach NT$12.5 billion
and pretax profit NT$600 million this year.
Systex announced that its
after-tax profit totaled NT$604 million in the first half, translating
into EPS of NT$1.3. The firm expects its after-tax profit will
meet the target NT$108.6 billion set for 2000, translating into
EPS of NT$2.23.
