United Fiber Optic Communication Inc., which
maintains a production base for optical transmission products
in the Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park, launched its newly
developed CTI (computer and telephone integrated) solution system
.
It is expected to help the firm score additional
annual revenue of NT$50 million. John Sung, president of the company,
said that the system will be suitable for call centers to monitor
incoming calls from customers, handle information transfers, and
analyze customer information, thereby helping enterprises with
telephone marketing.
Sung continued that by using the computer
and telephone integration technology, local enterprises can not
only reduce their own operating costs, but can also boost the
competitiveness of their products. He said Cable & Wireless HK
Telecom offers the technology needed for the solution system,
and his company handles the integration of the entire system.
Through the CTI solution system, call centers of local enterprises
can combine voice and information of customers into an integrated
communication system, to better serve their customers.
United Fiber Optic Communication Inc. is
actively making preparations for listing its shares on the Taisdaq.
The company plans to file an official share-listing application
with the Securities and Futures Commission in November and is
scheduled to list on the Taisdaq in the first quarter of 2001.
