ULi delivers breakthrough solutions to empower the entertainment PC industry, paving the way to the era of total digital entertainment

ULi Electronics Inc. announces industry's first USB 2.0 Digital A/V Controller - M9207, which pioneers in providing digital TV capability to current USB TV-Boxes.

M9207 provide simultaneous support for analog and digital interfaces for various digital TV standards such as DVB and ATSC. In addition, its pin-to-pin compatibility with its predecessor M9205 and support for Microsoft's latest Broadcast Driver Architecture (BDA) offer customers design flexibility, widens product market scope to DVB and ATSC regions, absolute ease for upgrades, and increases time-to-market efficiency.

Supporting the industry standard ITU CCIR-656/601 YUV 4:2:2 format video input, ULi's M9207 incorporates AC'97-Link and I2S interfaces that provides options for mono and stereo audio input. Featuring I2C, GPIO, consumer IR, and memory interfaces, ULi's M9207 provide various connectivity for CE applications. In addition, its outstanding power management feature makes ULi's M9207 an ideal solution to convert any portable devices such as notebook PCs into fully functional digital TV set.

Following M9205's recent achievement in receiving both USB-IF and WHQL certification logos within a short period of less than 6 months since its introduction, ULi's M9207 production remarkably exceeds customers' expectation narrowing down its production time to only 3 months, which not only demonstrates ULi's capabilities to deliver time-to-market quality solutions, but also confirms its strong commitment to become a major player in the multimedia A/V arena.

Several leading TV-Box manufacturers has started employing ULi's M9207 into their next-generation TV-Boxes setting high confidence to its performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Customers' TV-Boxes incorporating ULi's M9207 are expected to reach mass production by the end of Q4 this year in preparation to next year's projected rising demands of high quality digital TV Boxes.
