Sunon's MagLev AC Fan
A MagLev revolution in AC fans!
Low Power Consumption, High Airflow, Multi-function!

December 10, 2004

Sunon, the world renowned leader on cooling products, released MagLev AC fan to satisfy the latest market demand. In addition to the perfect silence, temperature resistance, and long lifespan inherited from the MagLev motor fan - an ultimate product with superior performance in the cooling industry, the MagLev AC fan uses improved motor-wire wrapping technology and a unique FCC (Frequency Conversion Control) circuit, resulting in much higher airflow with halved power consumption. As the best solution for AC-powered cooling, it stirred the market from the very beginning of release.

Before Sunon's MagLev AC Fan was released, DC fans had been the one and only choice for even AC-powered client to receive high airflow and wind pressure. Now Sunon's MagLev AC fans act as a substantial substitute, enabling the customer to enjoy the perfect performance of a MagLev fan with direct AC power feed.

As to the motor efficiency and space saving, DC motor fans have market potentials considerably higher than that of AC ones. However, traditional AC fans still share about 10% of the current cooling market due to the power and space availabilities and cost. From the viewpoint of fan efficiency, traditional AC fans encounter a bottleneck on their motor-wire wrapping process, resulting in motor hub larger than those of DC ones. And with such huge windings, the impeller area is limited. Therefore, these AC fans fail to compete with DC ones on airflow and wind pressure. Moreover, these bulky AC products hinder users from designing compact mechanisms.

Again, due to the traditional motor-wire wrapping process, the yield of AC fans cannot be increased generally in the industry, with the noise level and power consumption considerably short of environmental friendliness. In addition, traditional AC fans directly using AC power supplies cannot offer RPM output signals to detect abnormal running. As to the operating temperature, these AC fans can be used only where the ambient temperature is less then 70¢J. In a hot environment, no ideal reliability can be expected.

To address the above industrial bottlenecks and satisfy the market demand, Sunon's MagLev AC Fan was developed. This is the first product in which a MagLev motor design is introduced, retaining the silence, heat resistance, and long lifespan features of MagLev fans. With an improved motor-wire wrapping process, it offers airflow nearly twice as traditional AC ones can. A special FCC control circuit is used to improve the operating efficiency. Since the power consumption is reduced to about 1/3 of that of traditional ones, Sunon's MagLev AC Fan is substantially the one for power saving and environmental friendliness.

Sunon offers MagLev AC fan with sizes ranging from 7cm to 9cm. With doubled airflow and halved power consumption, Sunon's MagLev AC fans are as light as 1/3 of traditional ones. This series of products can work in environments as hot as 70¢J or more. Monitoring or detection of spinning speed is available. Thermal cutout is introduced to extend service life of the product. With the ultimate silence, heat resistance, and lifespan inherited from the MagLev motor fan, the compact and efficient MagLev AC motor fan is the best solution for AC fan customers.
