By eliminating the need for embedded MCU and external SRAM, M4305's host-based design guarantees system manufacturers a cost effective solution.

Additionally, the built-in AES, WEP, and TKIP (WPA) engines meet latest wireless network security requirements as defined by IEEE 802.11i and Wi-Fi Alliance's WPA, ensuring highly secure wireless transmission. ALi's use of smart partitioning in the Scatter Gather DMA and leverage of ALi's renowned power management expertise not only minimizes CPU utilization, but also optimizes power consumption that enables remarkably low power operation in the M4305 as well as in the host PC system.
