Albatron ushers in a new era of 1GHz technology!

March 01, 2003

Albatron Mainboard and VGA Card first to shatter the 1GHz barrier!

Feb. 2003 - Flash News out of Taiwan! Albatron Technology, a leading IT manufacturer will soon announce the world's first 1GHz (FSB) Mainboard as well as the first 1GHz (VRAM) Graphics Accelerator. Recent developments in component technologies for both the Mainboard and VGA sectors have allowed these products to finally surpass the once unreachable target. The new Mainboard will feature Intel's long awaited chipset whose FSB is capable of processing data at an incredible 1GHz clip. The GeForceFX 5800 VGA card will be based on nVIDIA's latest and greatest GPU, the NV30, which is capable of processing VRAM data at an equally astounding 1GHz!

1GHz FSB Mainboard
Albatron's yet-to-be named 1GHz Mainboard will come with the usual array of easy-to-tune and easy-to-overclock features including an option-rich BIOS utility. This board also uses the latest Intel® chipset, which supports Socket 478 for Intel® Pentium® 4 Processors. This board also includes 4 Dual Channel DDR 400 memory Sockets (overclocks to 500 MHz), AGP8X, Serial ATA, RAID 0, 1, 0+1, ATA133, 8 USB 2.0 ports and 8 Channel Audio. Finally, a built-in 1Gbit Ethernet LAN rounds out a very impressive list of specifications.
The new Intel® chipset is at the core of the 1 GHz breakthrough. This chipset enables information to be passed between CPU and Northbridge at unbelievable data transfer rates. Although benchmarks against CPU intensive applications are still pending, Albatron's confidence is high that we will see unprecedented, significant performance achievements.

1GHz VRAM Graphics Accelerator-FX5800
At the core of Albatron's newest Graphics Accelerator is nVidia's exciting new NV30 GPU. The long awaited DDR II technology has been finally implemented allowing this card and GPU to process memory at rates exceeding the 1GHz barrier. Albatron has also been building in 12 layers into its VGA PCBs to reduce the volatility of electrical interference from increased electrical output. The nVidia GPU has been reduced to 0.13 microns, further increasing performance while decreasing heat emission. NVidia also incorporates the industry's most sophisticated suite of graphics technology including Intellisample Antialiasing technology, high-performance 2D/3D rendering engines and the CineFX Shading Architecture. With the new NV30 based Albatron Graphics Card, we are expecting to experience special effects that are as close to cinematic film-magic than anything before.
ogy is committed to staying in the forefront and pushing the limits to provide the market with the fastest performing IT solutions available.
