RAIDSYS's product - Neptune DA-8400FFD has been selected to be the Best of Taiwan's Best Awards 2002. This is a glorious moment for all RAIDSYS staffs and partners. It represents the product's high-level quality and innovation policy has been admired again.


The Symbol of Excellence Awards, an annual selection that heralds Taiwan's best-designed, most innovative, and highest-quality products. It is awarded annually by the R.O.C. government to a select group of products. To be selected, products must excel in the following five categories: quality system, product design, R&D/innovation, market position, and brand awareness.

The Neptune 8400FFD is a high performance, reliability and availability Fibre-to-Fibre Disk Array. Designed to deliver extremely fast access to stored information without compromising data integrity. In addition, the Neptune 8400FFD RAID Subsystem combines superior performance and high reliability in an easy- to-manage solution. By integrating I2CTM Chip into the SCA-II Back Plane & RAID Controller, the system environment can be effectively monitored and controlled. Java-Based GUI software provides an easy way to configure remotely.

All RAIDSYS's products take advantage of redundant components to ensure high availability for critical-mission data, including hot-swappable active/active controllers, Disk drives, cooling fan and power supply etc.

Neptune DA-8400 module design fits into a 4U rack mount and allows for 12 front access 1.6" 180GB SCA-2 hard disk drive bays. The maximum capacity is up to 2.16TB. Furthermore, it can be added using optional DA-8400JBOD to expand hard disk drive bays, provides high capacity expansion. Neptune 8400FFD can connect 126 Fibre devices and provide four Fibre Channels (maximum data transfer rate: 400MBytes/sec). It is flexible, highly scalable storage solutions for SAN application.
