VIA's Apollo Pro133T to support Intel Celeron, Coppermine and Tualatin
processors. Prox-1620 has VGA function on board, using ATI Rage
Mobility M4 chips and 16MB SGRAM, to support multi-viewing of CRT
and LCD (LVDS and PanelLink). Prox-1620 also has dual LAN, using
Intel 82559, which supports transfer rate of 10/100 Mbps.
"To provide multi-function
and to enhance performance were the key points for the design of
Prox-1620," said the R&D team leader David Cheng. To achieve
this goal, Prox-1620 was revamped in a new layout and set to be
expandable. Prox-1620 has PPCI Bus interface built on board for
users to expand functions. According to individual client's needs,
Protech Systems can customize different SCSI daughter boards and
add onto Prox-1620.
For other performance, Prox-1620
has IrDA, two USB ports, two IDE (Ultra DMA-100), one parallel port,
and two COM ports, and hardware monitoring function for voltage,
temp, and cooling fan. One of the COM ports can be configured as
RS-232/422 or RS-485. In addition, the 32-pin SSD Socket on board
supports M-system Disk-on-chip up to 144MB. Designed based on PICMG,
VRM 8.5, and ACPI standard, Prox-1620 provides support for both
ATX and AT power.
