Performance wise, the maximum performance per host connection is 1200MB/sec, which is higher than a single 4G or even 10G Fibre Channel connection. The performance of the bus is achieved by combining four SAS channels with each supporting 3Gbps full duplex speed. Combined with high-speed SAS HBA or SAS RAID controller card in the host server, this JBOD tower can deliver high definition video clips and graphic documents.

XJ 100? Series SAS JBOD also provides an expansion port which allows it to be cascaded for more capacity. As it has been mentioned above, it can support up to 120 drives from a single SAS initiator. This subsystem also supports SES (SCSI Enclosure Service) for status monitoring and in-band firmware update.
