LifeView's SkyPad is a 3-piece communications center consisting of a wireless handset, a web camera, and a multi-function base station. The wireless handset allows the user to talk freely without being tethered to a computer. Users can place and receive calls directly from the handset itself, making internet communications as simple as using a regular telephone. A headphone jack is included for connecting a headset, allowing for handsfree operation. The handset can also be used as a generic audio device, allowing for wireless audio applications such as streaming music to the handset for listening to in another room.

The LifeView SkyPad's webcam allows users to videoconference, and is compatible with all major instant messaging clients. Its innovative clip stand allows it to be clipped to a table, shelf, or LCD display frame as well as placed on any flat surface. A pivoting head and easy-focus ring make adjustments easy, and can take still image snapshots quickly and easily with the hardware button on the camera itself. The base station serves as a charging dock for the wireless handset as well as a mount for the web camera. It also has 3 USB 2.0 ports for easy connection of other devices.
