AAEON announces new 478-pin mFCPGA Socket/479-ball mFCBGA base compact board PCM-8200 series powered by the Intel® Pentium® M processor with the Intel® 855GME chipset with new Intel 6300ESB I/O Controller South Bridge integrated. PCM-8200 is delicately designed for working-efficiency with low power consumption.

Outstanding Power Efficiency
The PCM-8200 supports Intel® Pentium M processor up to 1.60GHz with 400MHz FSB. System memory holds up to 1GB with fast DDR 333MHz. The smart design of IntelO 82541 Ethernet controller automatically powers down when no signal is detected. PCM-8200 presents no power waste on instruction execution per watt without sacrificing performance, thus is able to maintain the system operations without overheating.

Maximum Expansion Interface
Compact but no compromise. All featured expansion interfaces have been enhanced in this 8" x 5.75" computer board. The Intel 6300ESB I/O Controller South Bridge provides interface capabilities of two ports serial ATA controller conjunction with one parallel ATA channel; EHCI USB 2.0 and UHCI USB 1.1 host controller support up to 4 USB ports; Two Serial I/O ports support and 2-stage Watchdog Timer support. In addition, the excellent 48-bit dual channel LVDS supports high quality LCD display resolution. The TV-out (NTSC & PAL) function extends the display options to CRT, LCD, TV and etc. One Type III mini PCI socket can be used for wireless LAN interface. Four multipurpose COM ports and digital I/O are also supported. And onboard Intel® 82541 Ethernet controller stands for fast 1 Gigabyte transferring speed.

The PCM-8200 is the ideal choice for dust/temperature-sensitive high end Industrial Automation application. For space constrained environments such automobile, PCM-8200 is also a perfect fit. Even is great for KIOSK and POS implementations with low power consumption and pleasant multimedia presentations.

The PCM-8200 will be available in March 2004.
