AAEON continue its technology innovation by winning the 2004 Taiwan "Symbol of Excellence" award for the PD8500 sunlight readable LCD display and AMB-2000-E fanless Panel PC. This year represents AAEON's fifth year in consecutive win in the SOE.

The PD8500 is designed to operate in extreme ambient light conditions and produces vivid images with an extremely wide perceived viewing angle. PD8500 is an ideal solution for all military/marine, transportation, interactive kiosks or outdoors advertisement requiring sunlight readability.

The AMB-2000-E fanless Panel PC is quiet and low power consumption. The aluminum front bezel combines with a heavy-duty steel chassis to ensure sturdy structure. A unique anti-vibration hard disk drive bay to protect system from data lost. In words, the AMB-2000-E is truly designed to withstand harsh environment such as dusk, water, temperature and vibration.

Total 321 winners were picked from a field of 677 entries with recognition of in the following aspects: R&D/Innovation, Design Innovation, Quality Systems, Marketing, and Brand Awareness. The SOE award is a "must-win" honor for all the IT manufactures in Taiwan. This reward recognizes AAEON's excellence in consolidated resources and represented each fields of expertise.
