Taipei, Taiwan - Protech Systems Co., Ltd recently introduces the high performance modularized panel PC. Modular system application is a significant advantage since it's easy to be assembled, maintained, and upgrade. Using modular system technology, the Panel PC can be easily applied for Point of Information (POI), Point of Sales (POS), KIOSK, Transportation, Transaction terminals, Medical Facilities and Industrial Automation markets.

The new Panel PC consists of 3 major consoles: Front bezel, LCD panel and control system that offers easy configuration for various customization. Besides, the LCD panel is switchable for 12.1", 15" and 17" color TFT LCD displays for different needs and touch screen is also available as optional.

The PS8120A/8150A/8170A can be equipped with either an Intel Celeron/P-III/Tualatin or a VIA C3 CPU with frequency ranging from 566MHz to 1.4GHz and support DDR-SDRAM memory up to 1GB. Except general connectors such as four serials, one parallel, two USB 2.0, LAN, keyboard, mouse, line-in, line-out, mic, and digital IO ports; The system itself also has one 3.5" HDD, one slim FDD, and one slim CD-ROM drive bays. The modular panel PC also supports 10/100 based Ethernet with VIA 6103 chip and VIA VT 1612A sound chip onboard.

The watchdog timer, power management and monitoring features make the systems extremely secure and stable to perform round-the-clock usage in unattended environments.

The modular panel PC can be installed into all kinds of work environments and applications. It can be wall mounted, panel mounted, or simply placed on a desktop based on different application needs. The modular panel PC is compliant with NEMA 4 or IP 65 standards. This industrial-grade quality ensures this panel computer to withstand more severe environmental extremes, such as dusk, water, temperature and vibration.
