We are proud to announce that WPC-650, the Industrial Micro PC won the 2003 Taiwan Symbol of Excellence Winner, this award has played a vital role in the Image Enhancement Plan (IEP) implemented for the past 12 years by the China External Trade Development Council (CETRA) at the behest of the Ministry of Economics Affairs (MOEA). As the world wrestled with a global recession, 724 products were under consideration as SOE candidates. Impressive numbers like these confirm that industries are making a heroic effort to remain based in Taiwan, and to promote R&D/Innovation, Design Innovation, Quality Systems, Marketing, and Brand Awareness for their products -- all awards criteria for the SOE.

WPC-650, a industrial Micro PC, which carries this prize, is powered by VIA Eden low-power consumption's CPU with rugged aluminum and incredible compact chassis, ideal used in harsh environments, such as factory automation, advanced industries, science and research, home-PCs, medical facilities, mobile applications…etc for reliable and stable situations but may concern spaces. Meanwhile, WPC-650 integrated with VIA S3 Twister-T, AGP 4X graphic core with up to 32MB shared video memory, which supports CRT/LCD LVDS panels, that is fit for various information display systems, like KIOSK, POS/POI and so on.

Considering the expanded needs in the industrial field, WPC-651, the WPC-650's extended solution, will prune off the HDD/CD-ROM's space and reserve one PC/104 add-on card's space for customers easily enhancing additional features to meet various applications. Undoubtedly, WPC-651 is smaller, thinner and lighter than WPC-650, and more suitable used in the simple applications by DOM/DOC/Compact Flash module with Linux, and other embedded O/S. Meanwhile, we're now also planning to develop the truly fan-less of Micro PC by Intel ultra low power processor to provide the most state-of-the-art and innovation products.
