This revolutionary POS, PS-8830, has a 12.1" touch screen for easy operation. Other than this, it is compacted with one card reader for instant charges of various services. Equipped with an Intel Celeron/P-III CPU, slim HDD, FDD, and CD-ROM, the PS-8830 has IrDA function, six serials, two USBs, one parallel, LAN, keyboard, mouse, mic, line-in and line-out ports for connecting to different peripheral devices. Integrated with suitable application program, PS-8830 is the smartest device to be used for POS.

Besides the POS, Protech also manufactures book-sized PCs, which can be used as computers in POS and cash register systems. Its PS-8380 is one of the smallest book-sized PCs in the market. With the appropriate dimensions, 260mm x 240mm x 62mm, the PS-8380 comes fairly handy and consumes just little space. Also equipped with an Intel Celeron/P-III CPU, the system is enhanced with dynamic features, such as VGA, LAN, sound, IrDA, USB, SSD, hardware monitoring function, and many more.

While designing the POS and the book-sized PC, Protech utilized its expertise in creating single board computer, which has been its main product line for more than 20 years.
