In briefly M-ONT, Modular - Optical Network Terminal equipment, is a modular universal box for multi-media via fiber optic network. This unit is composed of M-ONT-MC (Modular IN-BAND managed media converter for data signal) and M-ONT-RF (Modular RF converter for CATV signal). It's suitable for various broadband markets and the integrated utilization covers Internet, High Quality IP phone, LAN service, CATV service, Multi-media Service, etc.

FIBER-TO-THE-HOME (FTTH) has been considered an ideal solution for access networks because of huge capacity, small size and lightness, and immunity to electromagnetic interference of optical fibers. The ONT, Optical Network Termination, is used in fiber to the home (FTTH) to terminate the optical signal at the customer premise and provide the electrical interface to the customer equipment.

The CTS M-ONT provides a flexible multi-service optical customer interface. The service providers can decide the devices required in their M-ONT according to the competing consumer-oriented appliances.
