New IAD Product Announced in 2003 - IAD/Lectron

Taipei, Taiwan - Lectron new major product launched recently is IAD (Integrated Access Device). IAD supports ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) with Full-Rate 8 Mbps and 1 or 4 Ethernet Ports, VoIP (Voice over IP) interface, Wireless 802.11a/b/g interface, and Bluetooth that can support Circuit-switch and Packet-switch, also **match** Low-power and Low-cost.

Lectron new major product for 2003 is IAD (Integrated Access Device). IAD aggregates multiple channels of data and voice/fax user-side traffic for transport over ADSL uplink. Voice/fax traffic is transported by VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and could access by Wire or Wireless LAN. With this feature, user could convenience to access the Internet at anytime, anywhere.

The IAD is an integrated access device designed for customer premise (CP) applications. This solution provides integrated voice and data services from a scalable, modular, compact platform. The IAD simultaneously manages circuit-switched and packet-switched voice and data traffic from a single network element.

Lectron new IAD adopt with Philips Gateway-on-a-ChipTM (GoC) processor that is a System-On-a-Chip (SOC) solution for broadband-gateway access products. By integrating many commonly required functional blocks and interfaces in hardware and software, the Gateway-on-a-Chip processor enables you to implement scalable Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) communication products to provide voice and Internet connectivity.
