Key Features and Benefits
H.323 NAT
Most of NAT cannot work very well at VoIP answering mode. WinVP-3022's
H.323 NAT has the functions of a normal NAT, plus it provides IP
address translation for H.323 standard based terminals, such as
IP Phone, NetMeeting enabled PC, which solves the single IP problem
in VoIP applications.
Quality of Service
The Quality of Voice over Internet is the critical factor. WinVP-
3022 VoIP Gateway
follows 802.1p and Type of Service (ToS) feature. When interfacing
to a very unstable Internet environment where it is most likely
to encounter a 20% packet loss rate, users may hear chopped, low-quality
voice. The unique robust voice recovery algorithm can
largely compensate the packet loss rate effect of the Internet and
give users a stable voice quality.
Traffic and Bandwidth Management
Work along with built-in QoS and ToS functions, WinVP-3022 can efficiently
control and manage the traffic and bandwidth by various policies,
such as port numbers (FTP, HTTP, Telnet, etc), IP addresses, etc,
and providing varying priorities before transmitting to the Internet.
It considerably enhances the quality of services, especially reducing
voice latency, and improving network efficiency without the need
of extra expensive traffic management box.
Life-line
When you encounter device power failure or crash condition, most
VoIP gateways cannot deliver back-up feature to insure undisrupted
voice service. WinVP-3022 however, offers a robust zero-loss "life-line"
design, with which you need not worry about power failure any longer.
During power or device failure, the voice calls are nevertheless
transparently pass to PSTN.
Intelligent Call Routing
WinVP-3022 supports innovative intelligent call routing function
that transparently routes calls to the called destination either
through PSTN or Internet. The end user simply dials the destination
number without altering the original dialing behavior. WinVP-3022
can detect and distinguish the dialed number and take the most efficient
routing path to rout the number automatically.
Dynamic IP Support
The VoIP gateways available in the market today require fixed IP
address to determine its location in the Internet. That causes inconvenience
to many dial-up and broadband VoIP applications users those don't
have fixed IP address. The WinVP-3022, however, allows existing
addressing schemes to remain without the need of fixed IP address.
WinVP-3022 can directly connect to DHCP enabled cable modem, or
PPPoE equipped ADSL modem, which uses dynamic IP address to link
to Internet.
Management Tools
WinVP-3022 supports full remote management ability with its embedded
Telnet server, HTTP server and SNMP agent. The network manager can
easily control and monitor the gateway from any point in the world
through a convenient web browser or telnet client. Plus, WinVP-3022
also provides a real-time "voice call monitoring" interface.
It helps the system administrator constantly aware of all the call
statistics.
