With a 24Gbps non-blocking Switch fabric, 32K MAC address table,
IEEE802.3x and full-duplex flow control, the GSW-1200S offers highly
dependable wire-speed packet transfer performance.
All twelve RJ-45 copper interfaces support 10/100/1000Mbps
auto-negotiation for optimal speed detection using RJ-45, Category
5 or 5e cables. MDI/MDI-X auto detection is supported for direct
wire connection to any Ethernet devices including workstations,
hubs or switches.
The console interface provides basic management of the switch,
for example per port speed, duplex and flow-control settings, port
-based Virtual LAN, port mirroring and port trunking.

Backbone Switch
With a non-blocking design, building a Gigabit high-bandwidth
switched network is now as easy as installing a Fast Ethernet
network. With support for VLAN and port trunking, the GSW-1200S
can directly connect to other Planet family members such as
the GSW-601S/GSW-800S/FGSW-2402S, or to any compatible Ethernet
devices.
