Taiwan at CeBIT 2009: Fixed Line Communication & Networks

The TaiwanPavilion covering these subjects will be found in Halls 12
and 13 this year.
Before the full impact of the financial crisis latelast year, even conservative
sources in Taipei had forecasted the Taiwan's communication equipment
industry to grow 45% in 2008 and reach the share of approximately US$40
billion of a world total of US$310 billion in 2009 . How much the present
situation will change these expectations cannot show up earlier than at
CeBIT, as revised figures are not out yet.
Please note: the Taiwan communication equiment industry includes smart
cellular devices, GPS (PND, GPS, PDA ) basic and feature phones, WLAN
NIC, CPE, switching, cable modems, E-MTA, SOHO router, VoIP-TA, Bluetooth,
cable STB, IAD, terrestial STB, VIP routers, IP phones, power line products,
optical active components, optical passive components satellite STB, IP
cameras, PON equipment, UWB, IP STB, WIMAX CPE, enterprise VoIP gateway,
femtocell AP, 3G data cards etc.
63% of the value growth is expected to be contributed by smart cellular
devices, 10% by digital STBs, and 7% by broadband CPE. According to the
Market Intelligence Center of Taiwan's III .The rest of 20% growth is
forecasted by emerging products such as WIMAX, femto AP, PON, IP cameras,
etc.

those two halls with the Taiwan Pavilions ?

supplier of hardware to the rest of the world: All figures in the high
double digit range, and mostly as number one in the world.
