Dear Reader:
After absorbing my preceding nine e-papers,
you, without doubt, felt the unsuppressable desire to visit
CeBIT, and I trust that by now you are in full command over
confirmed airplane tickets and hotel reservations. Therefore,
the only point left for this last editorial before the world's
biggest ICT event opens its gates is to publish the final
roll call:
Do you know that the upcoming CeBIT is twice the size
of IFA Berlin, TELECOM Geneva and SYSTEMS Munich put together?
And that the international tradeshow rankings reveal that
CeBIT 2004 has more exhibitors than all six world's largest
ICT shows ranking behind? The present total is 6.411 companies
from 64 nations, 3.419 from from Germany, 2.992 from foreign
countries.
That is suitable ambient for us from Taiwan to present another
unprecedented head count of 709 exhibitors ( as opposed to
last year's 664 ) on exactly 19.310 square meters of net exhibitionspace.
For your orientation, here are the locations of our theme-oriented
pavilions. No need for stand numbers - - you can't overlook
them anyway once you enter a hall; just keep your eyes peeled
for their familiar anthracite-and-orange colors:
| Hall 1: |
"Taiwan

| Hall 2: |
"Taiwan

|
 |
| Hall 12: |

|

|

|
| Hall 23: |

|

And a few more technicalities to help you
get around:
Each of the Taiwan Pavilions has its own service office,
marked "Hannover Pacific Corporation", where tri-ligual
staff ( German-English-Chinese ) will help you in any way
they can. They also take subscriptions of our publications
and distribute our 376 page guide book plus supporting
CD-ROM
"Taiwan Technology at CeBIT 2004",
It's free of charge for bona fide trade visitors.
Further pick-up points for these books are the Hannover Fair
information desks at the airport and railway station, major
hotels, the fairground's entrances, and the Foreign Visitors
Lounge on the fair ground.
For new readers joining us, here a brief briefing about us:
Hannover Pacific Corporation, a Taipei-based trade fair &
marketing services company, is the official representative
of Deutsche Messe AG in Taiwan and organizer of the TAIWAN
PAVILIONS. Its Publication & e-Media Division produces,
among others, the exhibitor guides in print and on CD-ROMs
with additional search engine functions. The latter are convenient
for visitors from countries where Internet connection is slow
or who have to pay through their nose for access time.
And www.taiwan-technology.com is the year-round Online publication,
containing economic and product news as well as an always
up-to-date search engine for our exhibitors, with illustrated
company profiles and hyperlinks to their home pages. And last
not least, there are our e-papers (like this one) which serve
as necessary reminders of our being there - - you simply have
to be pushy in this age of mass communication to stay in vogue!
So, we are organized with utmost perfection for the benefit
of our customers and readers as well and therefore justify
our standing slogan:
TAIWAN TECHNOLOGY
A periodic periodical
Aimed at the world to promote the industry of Taiwan
Published in the sole interest of profit
( and that includes yours, if you make wise use of our services.
)
And now for something completely different:
Briefing for the journalists among our readers: Those Taiwan
exhibitors with own press spokespersons are listed in a directory
available at the CeBIT press center. However, most don't have.
Therefore, to unveil background information or to render language
and other assistance in arranging interviews with interesting
companies is the duty and pleasure of this writer!
You will reach me by phone: (0175) 220 1674 & (0172)
41 30 293, or in the CeBIT press center, or through any of
the 11 HANNOVER PACIFIC service offices. Our Chinese staff
members there are distinguished for their "service with
a smile" - - but weathered veteran colleague please take
due notice that their imbibbimentations include black coffee
and green tea only - - for socializing over anything with
double digit proof numbers, there are more suitable occasions
at CeBIT.
See ya' nevertheless !
