Dear Reader:
After closing CeBIT Hannover on an optimistic note despite the
present economic scenario, it is now this editor's duty and pleasure
to direct your attention to CeBIT America 2003 ( June 18 - June
20 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in downtown Manhattan,
New York.)
CeBIT America 2003 is the first show in a sequence of annual
events. In preparation, it¡¦s organizers threw in decades of CeBIT
Hannover know-how and expertise, aspiring their American offspring
to set new standards for what an ICT trade show should be -- against
a competition that had already considered the U.S. territory their
home turf.
CeBIT America is the first U.S. trade show that emphasizes the
entire spectrum of information and communications technology,
products and services alike. It is a strictly business-to-business
trade fair for industrial professionals seeking application-oriented
solutions for their enterprises within three core product sectors:
Information Technology - - Communications & Networks - - and,
Software, Internet Solutions and Services. It features a complete
supporting program of trade exhibition, topical conference tracks,
focused matchmaking events and special exhibitor-sponsored technology
presentations. ( watch for details and breaking news in our e-papers
!)
Decidely , CeBIT America does not take place in some desert location,
but in New York, America's corporate center and the nation's number
one technology buying market. And it is organized by Hannover
Fairs, a company with resources to deliver a global audience and
exhibitor base with the highest standards of support and services.
To ensure our exhibitors of an audience to match, all visitors
to CeBIT America must present professional-only attendance qualifications
in order to register and be admitted. Maybe, some of you might
find such screening quite uncustomary for ICT shows, but you will
be rewarded with a high-level business-like atmosphere: Kindly
realize that despite our cyberspace age, we are all still tribesmen
in one way or other, seeking the warmth of the herd and to rub
shoulders with superiors and peers, undisturbed by outsiders.
CeBIT America will be such extra-ordinary event, hence, these
purposeful rules for access.
CeBIT America will host around 450 exhibitors. Out of them, no
less than 21 nations have joined the CeBIT America's International
Pavilion Program, including Australia, Canada, Czech Republic,
France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Korea, The Netherlands,
Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey and the United Kingdom. A separate
European Pavilion will host companies of those countries that
will not set up individual pavilions.
For all informations about CeBIT America please call www.CeBIT-America.com
. Due to the complexity of this fast-paced three day event you
will have to exercise patience to click yourself through many
levels of information, but it is worthwhile. In addition, keep
your eyes peeled for our next e-papers which explain all details
of the many programs and their updates
And now for something completely different
Air travel to fairs is still cheap, at least if you shop around
for those back seat no-frills super coach deals, where you'd better
bring your own sandwiches.
But if you happen to live in Germany, there is something much
better for less: Deutsche Messe AG, in cooperation with the U.S.
embassy in Germany have worked out promotional door-to-door guided
visitor group tours to CeBIT America, including flights, domestic
transfer to and from the fair ground and preferential hotel rates
for those staying more than one day. The price list starts at
an unbelievable 200 ( two hundred ) Euro for a one-day tour.
For these all-inclusive guided tours, please inquire at CeBIT-America@messe.de
So, you see that we leave you no reason for not attending this
unique event !
And keep watching your Inbox: The next e-paper is just around
the corner !
Yours truly,
Dieter Neumann
